Not only were readers asked to name their picks for the final four teams of the NCAA tournament and the ultimate winner, but they were also required to include their astrological sign.

Entrants were given 1 point for each Final Four team they correctly named, as well as 1 point for correctly predicting the national champion, for a maximum of 5 points. To make the end result even more interesting, entrants were asked to post the zodiac sign they were born under. What did the results reveal?

By a wide margin, the highest number of overall entrants were those born under the sign of Taurus. Could it be that the methodical bull is perfectly aligned with sports forecasting? The bulls were no slouches either - 35% of them ended up with 3 points total. The two most accurate signs were Pisces and Scorpio, both with 38% reaching 3 points.

On the other end of the spectrum, we have dreamy Aquarius. Aquarians are great at helping friends in need, but apparently not so hot at understanding sports statistics. No water bearer was able to choose 3 or more teams in that final grouping. Cancer had an even poorer record. Crabs are known as the most psychic sign, but perhaps their abilities only extend to the world of love and romance. Cancers had an abyssimal 64% rate of complete failure.

Appropriately, it was a Libra, the sign of balance, who came out on top. Out of a field of 132 entries in the BellaOnline sweepstakes, only one person correctly named 4 out of the 5 teams. The scales balanced out with the Libran choosing UConn to take the championship. This lucky fan wins a $50.00 gift certificate to Amazon.com.
